Clarence Lewis

Cecilia - Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, January 5, 2008, at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Cecilia for Clarence Lewis, 79, who died Friday, December 28, 2007 at Lafayette General Hospital. Interment will follow at St. Rose of Lima Cemetery in Cecilia. Fr. Peter will conduct the services. Mr. Lewis loved playing cards, gambling and listening to zydeco music. Survivors include his wife, Georgia B. Lewis of Breaux Bridge; his son, Ernest Lewis and his wife Mary Alice of Breaux Bridge; his daughter, Patsy L. Zenon of Breaux Bridge; five grandchildren, Tina Lewis, Kirk Zenon, Kristie Zenon, Sedonia Lewis and Sasha Lewis; and ten great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Denise Lewis; and his brother, Aston Lewis. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home from 7:00 a.m. until 10:30 a.m., Saturday, January 5, 2008. A rosary will be recited at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday. Pallbearers will be Edward Babineaux, Kirk Zenon, Clifton Calais, Peter Girard, Jr., Darrell Davis and Theotis Lewis. Pellerin Funeral Home of Cecilia is in charge of arrangements.
