VIEW VIDEO TRIBUTE Breaux Bridge - Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., on Saturday, August 8, 2009, at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Breaux Bridge, for Clarice Tolliver Calais, 68, who passed away on Sunday, August 2, 2009 at Lafayette General Medical Center. Interment will follow at St. Bernard Cemetery No. 2 in Breaux Bridge. Fr. James Fallon will officiate at the funeral service. Clarice enjoyed going on trail rides, playing cards, and taking trips to the casinos, but she most especially enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She was a devoted and faithful follower of her church. Survivors include her son, John Chester Calais, Jr.; two daughters, Mary Demouchet and Ida Dardar, all of Breaux Bridge; five brothers, Alfred Tolliver (Cora), of Breaux Bridge, Benny Tolliver, of Cecilia, Montgomery Tolliver, Jr. (Debra), Sherman Tolliver (Ann), all of Houston, TX, and Sherbert Tolliver (Cheryl), of Arnaudville; five sisters, Lucille Tolliver, of Houston, TX, Barbara Ann Zenon (Carrol), of Lafayette, Barbara Jean Thomas (George), of Cecilia, Estella Ames (Joseph), of Houston, TX, and Christine Tolliver, of Cecilia; 7 grandchildren, Natasha, Joshua, Preston, Victor, Casey, Cameron, and Brennin.; and 6 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Edmay Julian and Montgomery Tolliver, Sr.; a grandson, Ferrell Dardar, Jr.; and a sister, Priscilla Tolliver. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home from 4:30 p.m. until 10 p.m. on Friday and continue at 7 a.m. on Saturday until 10 a.m. A rosary will be recited at 6 p.m. on Friday evening. At 7 p.m., following the rosary, Brother Otha Smith will give a sermon and a vocalist from his church, Church of Christ at Rolls Royce in Lafayette, will sing a few musical selections. Pallbearers will be Preston Demouchet, Casey Dardar, Michael Zenon, Harold Broussard, Jr., Garrett Tolliver, and Willie McQueen. Honorary pallbearers will be her five brothers, Alfred, Benny, Montgomery, Jr., Sherman, and Sherbert Tolliver. Pellerin Funeral Home of Breaux Bridge is in charge of arrangements.
