Claude "Boo" Hebert, Jr.

New Iberia – A gathering of family and friends will be Saturday, May 6, 2023, from 10:00 am until 6:00 pm, at Pellerin Funeral Home, for Claude “Boo” J. Hebert, Jr., who passed on Tuesday, May 2, 2023.

The rosary, led by Deacon Durk Viator, will be prayed at 4:00 pm on Saturday.

A native and lifelong resident of New Iberia, Mr. Hebert was born on February 15, 1938, to the late Claude, Sr., and Mabel Derouen Hebert. He proudly served our country in the National Guard and worked as a welder in the oilfield, for many years. Mr. Hebert was a Ham Radio Operator, and member of the UA Local 198. An avid LSU fan, he enjoyed playing his guitar, gardening, and taking care of his yard.

Survivors include his wife of nearly 65 years, Peggy Savoie Hebert; children, Lisa Hebert Combs (Ted), Sheila Hebert Champagne (Nat), Troy Hebert (Amy V. Hebert), and Kevin Hebert; 11 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; brother, Keith Hebert; and a sister, Barbara Migues.

In addition to his parents, he is precededin death by his Mother and Father-in-law, Ossie & Avie Savoie.
