Claude "Pat" Guidry

Breaux Bridge - A Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 pm on Thursday, April 14, 2022, at St. Bernard Catholic Church in Breaux Bridge for Claude Patrick Guidry, 78, who passed away on Tuesday, April 12, 2022.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home from 3:00 pm until 8:00 pm on Wednesday and continue on Thursday at 9:00 am until 1:30 pm.

A rosary will be prayed at 6:00 pm on Wednesday.

Rev. Garrett McIntyre will officiate at the Funeral Service.  Reader will be Andi Kate Guidry.

Interment will follow at St. Bernard Cemetery No. 2 in Breaux Bridge.

Pat was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend to all.  As a pastime, he enjoyed fishing, woodworking, gardening, listening and dancing to Cajun music, and spending time with his family, friends, and especially his grandchildren.  He will be sadly missed by everyone who knew and loved him.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 50 years, Bonnie Gravouilla Guidry; daughter, Shadelle Huval (Luke); son, Beno Guidry (Brittney); and his grandchildren, Lola Guidry, Andi Kate Guidry, Holden Huval, Hayden Huval and  Harrison Huval.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Claude and Agatha Dupuis Guidry; brother, Curtis Ray Guidry; sister, Joan G. Lemaire; infant sister; and his nephews, Randy Guidry and Beau Simmons.

Pallbearers will be Beno Guidry, Luke Huval, Harrison Huval, Holden Huval, Bruce Bernard , Hunter Peltier, and Clyde Peltier

Honorary Pallbearers will be Lola Guidry, and Hayden and Harrison Huval.

The family would like to express their gratitude to Dr. Warren Degatur, Michelle Angelette, Karen McFaul, and all the nurses and CNA's that provided outstanding care, love, and compassion to Pat during his time of need.
