Breaux Bridge - Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., on Thursday, May 20 2010, at Pellerin Funeral Home Chapel in Breaux Bridge, for Claudius Maurice 'Jack' Tew, 82, who passed away on Monday, May 17, 2010 at Lafayette General Medical Center. Interment will follow at St. Michael Cemetery in Henderson. Richard and Dennis Coats will conduct the funeral service. Jack was a member of the International Heavy Operator's Union. He enjoyed reading his Bible and sharing the Word of God and he loved spending time with his family and friends. Survivors include his daughter, Deborah Tew Dore and her husband, Thomas, of Henderson; one sister, Doris Quinelly, of Meridian, MS; and his granddaughter, Sarina Manes Guidry and her husband, Chad, of Breaux Bridge. He was preceded in death by his wife, Junie Jeanette Hatfield Tew; his son, George Michael Tew; his parents, George H. and Vernie Walthall Tew; and his sisters, Esther Coats, Eva Tew, Myrtle Buffington, and Oberia Tew. The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 3:30 p.m. until 9 p.m. on Wednesday and continue on Thursday at 8 a.m. until time of service.
