Breaux Bridge - A gathering of remembrance will be held at 3:00 PM, Friday, February 17, 2006, at Pellerin Funeral Home Chapel Church in Breaux Bridge for Clayton Bernard St. Germain, 92, who died Monday, February 13, 2006 at St. Martin Hospital in Breaux Bridge.
Interment will be in St. Bernard Cemetery No. 1 in Breaux Bridge.
Mr. St. Germain was a member and also served as President of the Pont Breaux Saddle Club. He enjoyed listening to classical music, opera, and big bands. He played the saxophone and clarinet in different local bands, and also for the S.L.I. Band. He also enjoyed playing golf, hunting, fishing and horses, especially thoroughbreds.
Mr. St. Germain attended St. Bernard Elementary School and graduated from Breaux Bridge High School. He also attended S.L.I. for 3 1/2 years until illness ended his college years.
He worked for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers until illness forced his retirement.
Survivors include his sister, Claire S. Richard of Lafayette; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Louis Charles St. Germain and Corinne Cormier St. Germain; and his brothers, Dr. E. L. St. Germain, Donald St. Germain, and Raymond John St. Germain.
The family requested that visiting hours be observed from 2:00 p.m. on Friday and continue until time of service.
A rosary will be recited at 2:30 p.m. on Friday.
