Born on January 13, 1996 and raised in Cecilia, LA, Torrez was a vibrant soul who brought joy and laughter to everyone he encountered. He was a beloved son, father, brother, uncle and friend.
He was devoted to his daughter, his mother, and his entire family, always making time for those he cherished. His family was his world, and he was known for his boundless kindness and ability to make everyone feel welcome. He never met a stranger - if you crossed paths with him, you were sure to leave with a smile and a warm heart.
Torrez had a deep passion for Zydeco music, and it was rare to see him without a smile on his face, whether he was dancing to the rhythm or simply enjoying the company of his loved ones.
One of his favorite sayings, "My parish is hot!" and his signature morning greeting, "Good morning Acadiana with your big..." (y'all know the rest) left a lasting impression on those who knew him.
Children were especially drawn to him, as he had a unique ability to connect with them through play and affection. He made every child feel special, leaving behind memories that will be cherished forever.
Though his time with us was far too short, the impact Torrez made on the lives of those around him will never be forgotten. He leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and the joy of music that will continue to resonate with all who knew him.
He is survived by his cherished daughter, Alyse Viator; his beloved mother, Pamela Demouchet; his father, Clifford Demouchet, Sr.; his sisters, LaQuinta Ames (Shelton) and Kansas Williams (Joseph); his maternal grandmother, Georgia Semere; his godparents, Sarah Frederick and Reginald Semere; and a host of family and friends who will miss him dearly.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Renella Demouchet and James Demouchet; maternal grandfather, Hillary Semere; aunts, Barbara Williams, Christine Semere and Prenella Roberts; and his cousins, Jimmy Williams and Ken Broussard.
Pallbearers will be Jalen Demouchet, Drake Batiste, Nolan Charles, Trae Richard, Cameron Batiste, Kirkland Joseph, Brandon Williams, Asa Demouchet, McKenley Roberts and Carl Noel.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Reginald Semere, Joseph Semere, Ronald Semere, Robert Semere, Richard Demouchet, Joseph Williams, Sr., Earl Demouchet, Ricky Demouchet, Shelton Ames and Desmond LeBlanc.
