Clifford Payne, Sr.

Parks - A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, November 28, 2020, at St. Louis Chapel in Parks for Clifford Payne Sr., 58, who passed away on Sunday, November 22, 2020. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home in St. Martinville from 7:00 am until 9:15 am on Saturday. A rosary will be prayed at 8:30 am on Saturday. Rev. Nicholas DuPre' will officiate at the Funeral Mass. Interment will follow at St. Michael Cemetery in St. Martinville. Clifford worked at Peppers Unlimited - Louisiana and recently retired from Baker Hughes. He was an all-around handyman and worked on washers and dryers. He was always willing to help anyone who needed. Clifford enjoyed playing basketball and baseball with the Stone Junkies years ago. He loved and took great pride in his blue 1985 Chevy truck that he once had. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him. He is survived by his wife, Denise Payne; two sons, Clifford Joseph Payne Jr. (Shay Colfield) and D'Andre Jamal Payne; two sisters, Linda Hall (Vincent) and Brenda Payne; three brothers, Curtis Payne, Sr., Karl Payne (Patricia) and Eneus Payne; and five grandchildren, D'Andre Payne, Jr., Kyion Payne, Eliana Payne, Remedii Russell and Kayden Reed. He was preceded in death by his parents, Eneus Milton Payne, Sr. and Mary Margaret Payne; and two sisters, Rose Marie Narcisse and Mary Ann Payne. Pallbearers will be Bryson Hawkins, Jaylon Stewart, Treyveon Alexander, Jacques Smith, Joseph Roberts, and Thaddeus Potier. Honorary pallbearers will be Clifford Joseph Payne Jr., D'Andre Jamal Payne, Curtis Payne Sr., Karl Payne, Eneus Payne, James Alexander Jr., Samuel Alexander, Eneus Payne III, Dennis Alexander, and Demarkus Greene.
