Breaux Bridge - Funeral services will be held at 9 a.m., on Tuesday, November 17, 2009, at Pellerin Funeral Home Chapel in Breaux Bridge, for Clifton "Kiss" Dumatrait, 76, who passed away on Sunday, November 15, 2009 at St. Martin Hospital in Breaux Bridge.
Interment will follow at St. Bernard Cemetery No. 1 in Breaux Bridge.
Deacon Marcel "Butch" Hebert" will officiate at the Funeral Mass. The readers will be J.C. Dugas and Jim Dugas and gift bearers will be Linda D. LeBlanc and Mary D. Ketelers.
"Kiss"", as he was affectionately known by his family and friends, was a resident of St. Agnes Healthcare and Rehab and enjoyed all the activities and outings there. Attending family gatherings and spending time with his family and friends brought great joy into his life. He brought many people together with just a smile.
Survivors include his brother, Edwin Dumatrait, Sr. and his wife, Dot, of Breaux Bridge; a sister, Enola Usie, of Henderson; and his caretakers, J.C. Dugas, of St. Martinville, Linda D. LeBlanc, of Breaux Bridge, Mary D. Ketelers, of Lafayette, and Jim Dugas, of Breaux Bridge.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Clay J. and Ezola Thomassee Dumatrait; 7 brothers, Tony, Lloyd, Percy, and Alcee Dumatrait, Gussie, Joseph and Orel Hebert; and 4 sisters, Vivian D. Huval, Lena D. Cormier, May D. Dugas, and Marie Alzine H. Bergeron.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 10:30 a.m. until 9 p.m. on Monday and continue at 7 a.m. on Tuesday until time of service.
A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. on Monday.
Pallbearers will be J.C. Dugas, Jim Dugas, Eddie Dumatrait, Bobby Dumatrait, Timmy Dumatrait, and Kevin Dugas.
Pellerin Funeral Home of Breaux Bridge is in charge of arrangements.
