Breaux Bridge - Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Monday, January 2, 2006, at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Breaux Bridge for Clifton Singleton, 89, who died Wednesday, December 28, 2005 in Beaumont, TX. Interment will be in St. Rose of Lima Cemetery in Cecilia. Survivors include his wife, Denage B. Singleton of Cecilia; his daughter, Marie Lee of Houston, TX; his sister, Eula Barras of Houston, TX; five grandchildren, Darlene Barber and her husband, Kevin, Marilyn Lee, Roosevelt Lee, Jr., and his wife, Edith, Tanya Thomas, and her husband, Marco, and Hurkeson Singleton; and nine grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Israel and Pauline Calais Singleton; his son, Joseph Dennis Singleton; nine brothers, Weston, Clarence, Dalton, Freddie, Felton, Alphonse, Aristole, Maxie and Adley Singleton; and three sisters, Mary Mouton, Mabel Zenon, and Lydia Singleton. The family requested that visiting hours be observed from 9:00 a.m. on Monday and continue until time of service. A rosary will be recited at 11:00 a.m. Monday. Pellerin Funeral Home of Breaux Bridge is in charge of arrangements.
