St. Martinville - A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m., on Monday, March 18, 2013, at St. Martin de Tours Catholic Church in St. Martinville, for Clothilde Trahan Theriot, 97, who passed away on Friday, March 15 2013. The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 2 p.m. on Sunday, and continue until 9:30 a.m. on Monday, at Pellerin Funeral Home in St. Martinville. A rosary will be prayed at 7 p.m. on Sunday. Fr. Richard Fabre will officiate at the Funeral Mass. Scriptures will be read by Britlynn Laviolette and Telecia Broussard. Gift Bearers will be Bryee, Trey, and Jacques Laviolette. Interment will follow at St. Michael Cemetery in St. Martinville. Mrs. Theriot enjoyed cooking and spending time with her family and friends, especially during the holidays. She looked forward to getting her hair done every Friday and enjoyed going on trips to the casinos and having afternoon card games with her family. Survivors include her son, Wilson Theriot and wife, Gertie, of Youngsville; three daughters, Melba Laviolette and husband, Bernard, of Catahoula, Mazel Boudreaux of Parks, and Beverly Amy and husband, Sosthene, of Henderson; 8 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Theodore Theriot; her daughter, Verna Angelle; her parents, Jules and Marie Bijeaux Trahan; her brother, Leonce Trahan; two sons-in-law, J.B. Angelle and Whitney Boudreaux; and two grandchildren, Dwayne Boudreaux and an infant grandson. Pallbearers will be Bernard Laviolette, Jr., Brian Laviolette, Keith Boudreaux, Shirley 'B.J.' Broussard, Jr., Quintin Broussard, and Shirley 'Bernie' Broussard, Sr. Honorary pallbearers will be Bernard Laviolette, Wilson Theriot, Dean Angelle, Sosthene Amy, Kade Calais, Pernal Broussard, and Bob Chattos.
