Breaux Bridge - Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Friday, April 27, 2007, at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Breaux Bridge for Clousy Batiste, Sr., 82, who died Monday, April 23, 2007 at Lafayette General Medical Center in Lafayette. Interment will follow at St. Francis of Assisi Cemetery in Breaux Bridge. Fr. James P. Fallon, pastor of St. Francis of Assisi Church, will conduct the services. Survivors include five sons, Clousy Batiste Jr. of Breaux Bridge, Matthew Batiste and his wife, Rose, of Lafayette, Allen Batiste, Oscar Batiste and his wife, Patricia, all of Cecilia, and David Batiste and his wife, Patriece, of Arnaudville; three daughters, Rebecca Watson and her husband, Herbert, of Lafayette, Roxanne Batiste, of Breaux Bridge, and Nancy Roberts and her husband, Marcus, of Macon, GA; his brother, Jerome Batiste of Breaux Bridge; and his sister, Germaine Batiste of Breaux Bridge; 23 grandchildren and 26 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Ida Castille Batiste, Sr.; his wife, Jeanette Davis; one son, Albert Batiste; five brothers, Joseph Batiste, Walter Batiste, Witley Batiste, John Batiste Jr., and Adley Batiste; and two sisters, Lacadie Lewis and Marie Vivian Batiste. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home from 7:00 a.m. on Friday and continue until time of service. A rosary will be recited at 8:30 a.m. on Friday. Pallbearers will be Marcus Roberts, Herbert Watson, Joe Batiste, Kendrick Batiste, Christopher Batiste, and Eric Jackson. Honorary pallbearers will be Clousy Batiste, Jr., Matthew Batiste, Allen Batiste, Oscar Batiste, David Batiste, and Albert Keith Batiste. Pellerin Funeral Home, 416 Dauterive St., Breaux Bridge, LA, is in charge of arrangements.
