Clyde Brice

March 7, 1919 — November 5, 2006

New Iberia - Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, November 8, 2006, at Pellerin Funeral Home, in New Iberia for Clyde B. Brice, 87, who died Sunday, November 05, 2006 at his residence in New Iberia. Entombment will be in Holy Family Cemetery. Mr. Brice was a veteran of the United States Army having served his country during World World II. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge since 1954, the Aurora Lodge 193 and the Jeanerette Lodge 2552. He had the title of Past Master in 1974; Past District Deputy Grand Master in 1981; and Past District Grand Lecture in 1989, 1990, and 1991 He retired from Ashland Oil Inc. after 40 years of dedicated service. He was also a member the Church of Christ. Survivors include his wife Margie D. Brice of New Iberia; son, Tommy Brice and wife Pam of New Iberia; Sherion B. Lourd of New Iberia; 6 grandchildren, Bryan W. Lourd, B. Blaine Lourd and wife Crystal, all of Beverly Hills, CA, Harvey H. "Tu-Tu" Lourd, Deborah K. Lourd, Polly B. Davis and husband Joe, Yancey Brice all of New Iberia; 10 great grandchildren, Zane M. Viator, Bronwyn T. Viator, Quentin Pharr, Mallory Pharr, Nicholas Davis and his special partner W. Hunter Lourd, all of New Iberia, Billie C. Lourd, Brice Lourd, Cole Lourd, and Boone Lourd all of Beverly Hills, CA; one great great granddaughter, Riley E. Viator, and a special uncle, Leonard "Jack" Brice of New Iberia. He was preceded in death by his parents, James R. and Rena E. Brice; a brother, Jack "Jim" Brice; a sister, Ethelda B. Dodson. A gathering of family and friends will be Tuesday from 3:00 PM until 9:00 PM. Visitation will continue Wednesday from 10:00 AM until time of service. Pallbearers will be Bryan W. Lourd, B. Blaine Lourd, Harvey H. "Tu-Tu" Lourd, III, Zane M. Viator, Yancey Brice, Quentin Pharr, Leonard "Jack" Brice, and Leo Bradburn. Honorary pallbearer will be Ray Reed. Memorial contributions may be made to the Iberia Humane Society, P.O. Box 11422, New Iberia, LA. 70562. Pellerin Funeral Home of New Iberia is in charge of arrangements.
