Collins Faucheaux

Catahoula- Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., on Saturday, November 5, 2011, at St. Rita Catholic Church in Catahoula, for Collins Joseph Faucheaux, Sr., 85, who passed away on Thursday, November 3, 2011 at St. Martin Hospital in Breaux Bridge. Fr. Richard Fabre will officiate at the funeral service. Interment will follow at Our Lady of the Lake Cemetery in Catahoula. Mr. Faucheaux was a veteran of World War II, having honorably served his country in the United States Army. Survivors include his son, Collins Faucheaux, Jr. and his wife, Cheryl, of Catahoula; two brothers, Shelton Faucheaux of Henderson, and Ranell Lee Faucheaux of Cypress Island; one sister, Eursule Latiolais of Catahoula; three grandchildren, Monica Latiolais, Stacy Faucheaux, and Joshua Faucheaux; and four great grandchildren, Matthew, Hali, and John Faucheaux, and Stephen Latiolais. He was preceded in death by his parents, Alfred and Ella Barras Faucheaux; one brother, Nolan Faucheaux and one sister, Ann Cormier. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Dion Hall in Catahoula from 10:30 a.m. until 10 p.m. on Friday and continue on Saturday at 7:30 a.m. until 9:30 a.m. A rosary will be recited at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Pallbearers will be Matthew Faucheaux, Stacy Faucheaux, Joshua Faucheaux, Raymond Latiolais, Jr., McKinley Hebert, and Mace Hebert. Pellerin Funeral Home(337.332.2111), is in charge of arrangements.
