Cora Lee Jacquet Perry

St. Martinville - A Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, August 31, 2019, at Pellerin Funeral Home in St. Martinville for Cora Lee Jacquet Perry, 51, who passed away on Thursday, August 22, 2019, at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center in Baton Rouge. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home from 10:00 am until time of funeral service on Saturday. Reverend Foster Johnny will officiate at the Funeral Service. Interment will follow at Queen of Peace Cemetery in St. Martinville. Cora was born in Lafayette, LA to Barbara Jones Jacquet and the late Randolph Jacquet. She graduated from St. Martinville Senior High School in 1986. She earned her bachelor's degree in Sociology in 1993 from Southern University A&M. Cora enjoyed running track in high school, playing in her high school band, and playing softball. She loved her family dearly and enjoyed spending time with them. Cora will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. She is survived by her loving spouse of 27 years, John Perry; sons, Jovante Perry and Jered Perry; mother, Barbara Jones Jacquet; brothers, Keith Jacquet and James Jacquet; sister, Kila Francis; and her godchildren, Virginia Jones, Jasmine Batiste, and Hillary Reed. She was preceded in death by her father, Randolph Jacquet; grandmother, Leola Jones; grandfather, Ervin Jones, Sr.; and uncles, Warren Jones and Ervin Jones, Jr. Pallbearers will be Ryan Gooden, Kirkpatrick Tasker, Nathan Worship, Keifer Gallow, Jimmy Holmes, and Earl Holmes. Honorary pallbearers will be Keith Jacquet, James Jacquet, Stephon Foster, Fontain Gallow, Melvin Jacquet, Nathaniel Jones, Montagus Gallow, and Marcus Gallow.
