A dedicated worker, Courtney began his career as an orderly at Iberia Medical Center, where his compassionate nature shone brightly as he cared for those in need. He later transitioned into the custodial sector, serving at New Iberia Manor North Nursing Home, demonstrating a remarkable work ethic and a steadfast desire to maintain cleanliness and comfort for others. His career culminated at Nabors Drilling, from which he retired, then he went back to work for Wilson Janitorial Services.

Courtney's involvement in his community was profound. He was a longtime member of St. Edward Catholic Church, where he found strength and solace in his faith. Additionally, as a member of the Knights of Peter Claver, he embodied the values of service and brotherhood, contributing to the spiritual and social fabric of his parish and beyond.

Courtney possessed a passion for golf; the game not only brought him joy but also provided him an avenue to connect with friends and family on the lush greens.

As a loving father and grandfather, Courtney took great pride in his family. His affectionate nature and gentle spirit left a mark on the lives of those fortunate enough to know him. The values he instilled in his loved ones and the memories they shared will forever be treasured sources of comfort and inspiration.
