Craig 'Lonyon' "Lonyon" Lancon

St. Martinville - A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 am, on Thursday, January 7, 2016, at St. Martin de Tours Catholic Church in St. Martinville, for Craig "Lonyon" G. Lancon , 51, who passed away on Monday, January 4, 2016, at Camelot of Broussard after a 17 year battle with Multiple Sclerosis. The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 4:00 pm until 9:00 pm on Wednesday, and continue on Thursday at 8:00 am until 10:30 am, at Pellerin Funeral Home in St. Martinville. A rosary will be prayed at 7:00 pm on Wednesday. Reverend Rusty P. Richard will officiate at the Funeral Mass. Interment will follow at St. Michael Cemetery in St. Martinville at a later date. Craig was the owner of Superior Truck and Trailer Repair for 12 years. He was a graduate of Nashville Auto Diesel College. Craig enjoyed riding horses, ATVs, going camping, and playing golf. He is survived by his mother, Gertrude Bernard Lancon; daughter, Cali Brou and husband Joshua; sons, Dylan and Tyler Lancon; grandchildren, Camille and Jake Brou; sisters, Tina Naquin and husband Michael, Joy Roy and husband James, and Dawn Rippas and husband Walter; brother, Jeffrey Lancon and wife Jennifer; mother of his sons, Angie Kane; aunts, Shirley Fuselier and husband Alfred, and Flavia Lancon; uncle, Gerald Lancon and wife, Laura; and numerous loyal friends and family. He was preceded in death by his father, Gilbert Joseph Lancon, Jr.; grandparents, Edwin and Leontine Bernard, and Gilbert, Sr. and Ostina Lancon; and a nephew, Jacob Romero. Pallbearers will be Dylan and Tyler Lancon, Jeffrey Lancon, Joshua Brou, Stuart Mire, and Michael Naquin. Honorary pallbearers will be Kevin Theriot, Todd Louviere, James Roy, and Walter Rippas. The family would like to thank the Camelot of Broussard "Queens Towers" and Hospice of Acadiana staff for their continued compassionate and loving care of Craig.
