Port Barre - A Memorial Mass will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday, June 19, 2020 at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church in Port Barre for Curley Robin, 93, who passed away on Monday, April 20, 2020, at Opelousas General Hospital.
Family and friends may gather at the church from 1:00 pm until 1:30 pm on Friday for prayer and meditation before the rosary, which will be prayed at 1:30 pm, with the Mass following at 2:00 pm
Rev. Clint Trahan will officiate Memorial Mass. Interment will follow at Sacred Heart of Jesus Cemetery in Port Barre.
Curley was Korean War veteran and a member of the American Legion. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, beekeeping, but his biggest joy was mowing grass. Curley loved spending time with his family, especially his wife, Elda, whom he was married to for 71 years. He will be dearly missed.
He is survived by his three sons, John A. Robin and wife Donna, Ricky Robin, and Michael Robin, all of Port Barre; daughter, Dorothy R. Stelly of Port Barre; grandchildren, Adriane Emonet, Ashley Robin, Andrew Robin, Taven Stelly, Jacob Stelly, Bridget Shultz, Leslie Courville and Kyle Robin; great grandchildren, Ellie, Isabella, Ethan, Rix, Ramie, Rhae, Rye, Chelsea, Charlie, Adam, Jenna, Gracie, Olivia, Alex, Adalee, Wyatt, Konnor, Annalise and Stella; and great-great grandchildren, Cayleigh, Aiden, Zuri and Christian.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Elda M. Robin; parents, Jules and Bridget Artigue Robin; brothers, Clarence Robin, Harold Robin, LeeRoy Robin, and Eugene Robin; and sisters, Jermaine Myer, Mary Joyce Stelly and Bernice Eusay.
