New Iberia - Funeral services will be at 3:00 PM , Wednesday, October 17 , 2012, at Pellerin Funeral Home in New Iberia, for Curris J. Boutte, 70, who died on Monday, October 15, 2012, in New Iberia. Msgr. Richard Greene will officiate. A gathering of family and friends will be Wednesday from 10:30 AM until 3:00 PM at Pellerin Funeral Home, 502 Jefferson Terrace Blvd, in New Iberia. Born on March 12, 1942 in Jeanerette, Mr. Boutte was a veteran of the U.S. Army, and worked in the oilfield for many years. A member of Sacred of Heart of Jesus Catholic Church, he enjoyed helping people, football, and horse racing, however his greatest pleasure was spending time with his children and grandchildren. Survivors include his wife Helen K. Duplantis Boutte of New Iberia; step father, Frank Girard of New Iberia; son, Curris 'Chip' Boutte and wife Gwen of Duson; daughter, Dusti Lynn deMahy and husband Scott of Gulf Breeze, Florida; brothers, Richard J. Boutte and wife Rita of New Iberia, Rodney P. Girard and wife Susan of Mandeville; sister, Louise Boutte; grandchildren, Brittney Boutte, Colby Boutte, Kailey Boutte, Maci Farmer and husband Thomas, Michael deMahy, Matthew deMahy, Molly Kay deMahy; sisters-in-law, Susan Landry Boutte, Tammy Duplantis, Janet Buford and husband Ed, Aileen Broussard, Vicki Holleman and husband Tommy; brothers-in-law, Ward Duplantis and wife Janice, Noonie Duplantis and wife Dobie, Larry Duplantis and wife Nancy, Jerry Lee Duplantis and wife Debbie, and Carroll Duplantis. He was preceded in death by his father, Clarence Boutte; mother, Ida J. Girard; brother, Louis Boutte; and a brother-in-law, Sonny Duplantis.
