St. Martinville - A graveside service will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, January 6, 2023, St. Michael Cemetery in St. Martinville, for Curtis "Curly" J. Laviolette, 55, who passed away on January 2, 2024 at his residence in Lafayette.
Father Garrett McIntyre will officiate at the graveside service.
Burial and graveside service will be held at St. Michael Cemetery.
Curtis, known as, "Curly", to his friends and family was born on December 26, 1968 in Lafayette. He was a beloved brother, uncle, and devoted friend. He was CNC Machinist and was employed with Tools International Corporation for 26 years. Curly loved to be outdoors. Whether he was riding his motorcycle, fishing, or kayaking, he was in his happy place. Family meant everything to him and he cherished his time spent with them. He will be deeply missed.
He is survived by his brother, Roland J. Laviolette; sister-in-law, Denise Laviolette; nieces and nephews, Amber Laviolette-Braun (Charley), Lindsay Laviolette, Ryan Laviolette, Randall Laviolette, and Jill Laviolette; and his dear friend, Andrew Wade.
He is preceded in death by his father, Percy J. Laviolette; mother, Maxine Guillory; brothers, Ronnie J. Laviolette and Randy J. Laviolette; half-sister, Jean Keddy; half-brother, Ricky Leger;and sister-in-law, Cecile Leger.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff at Hospice of Acadiana and his friends and caregivers, Julia and George, for the excellent care given to Curly.
