Cecilia - Funeral services will be held at 12 noon on Thursday, March 29, 2012 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Cecilia, for Curtis Joseph Guidry, 74, who passed away on Monday, March 26, 2012. Fr. Michael Delcambre will officiate at the Funeral Mass. Scriptures will be read by Kasey Legrand and Karleen Berard. Gift bearers will be Lexi Leonie Guidry and Shena Guidry. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery in Cecilia. For most of his life, Curtis was a painter by trade and worked as a custodian for the St. Martin Parish School Board for 12 years. He loved gardening and enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, but most especially his grandchildren. Survivors include his daughter, Melissa Guidry; three sons, Chris, Clint, and Dale Guidry; three grandchildren, Lexi Leonie Guidry, Jordy Jude Guidry, and Jonah Paul Olivier; his brother, Gerald 'Beb' Guidry; and his sister, Joyce Angelle. He was preceded in death by his wife, Eula Wiltz Guidry; his parents, Antoine and Leona Calais Guidry; two brothers, Marshall and James M. Guidry; and his son-in-law, Jude Guidry The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 9 a.m. until 10 p.m. on Wednes day and continue on Thursday at 8 a.m. until 11:45 a.m . A rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday evening. Pallbearers will be Jordy Guidry, Shane David Guidry, Shane Guidry, Glenn Dale Angelle, Clint Guidry, and Chance Myers.
