Cynthia Mary Berthelot

St. Martinville - A Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, October 15, 2022, at Pellerin Funeral Home in St. Martinville for Cynthia Mary Berthelot, 71, who passed away on Tuesday, October 11, 2022 at Iberia Medical Center.

A visitation will take place at the funeral home in St. Martinville on Saturday from 9:00 AM until the time of service at 2:00 PM.

Brother Tony Ronsonet will officiate at the funeral service.

Interment will follow at Methodist Cemetery in St. Martinville.

Cynthia Mary Berthelot was born October 4, 1951, to the late Walton and Madia Babineaux. She was a faithful Christian and member of Coteau Holmes Baptist Mission. Cynthia enjoyed painting yard ceramics, dancing, listening to zydeco music and going to the casino. Above all, she loved family gatherings and spending time with her grandchildren. Cynthia was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister, who will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her husband of 16 years, Gerald Berthelot, Sr.; sons, Lennis Case, Jr. and William "Billy" Case (Jenny); daughters, Lee Ann Broussard, Wendy Case (Shaun) and Christy Horton (Ricky); step-sons, Gerald "Buddy" Berthelot, Jr. (Judy), Christopher "Chris" Berthelot and Scott Berthelot (Karen); step-daughters, Mona Berthelot (Larry), Peggy Vincent (Shane) and Teesha Gary (Nick); grandchildren, Tia, Madison, McKenna, Bryan, Jr., Celeste, Macie, Krystyne, Luke, Tyler, Trent J., Trent W., Paige, Toree, CJ, Koby, Kortni, BJ, Monique, Zack, Tre, Wyatt, Sadie, Collis, Autumn, Bubba, Alexis and Kaden; 19 great-grandchildren; brothers, Bobby Babineaux, Paul Babineaux and Darrell Babineaux; and sisters, Diane Smith, Susette Babineaux and Darlene Delcambre.

She is preceded in death by former husband, Lennis Case, Sr.; son-in-law, Bryan Broussard, Sr.; nephew, Michael Smith; parents, Walton Babineaux and Madia Babineaux; and sister, Rebecca "Becky" Smith.

Pallbearers will be Lennis Case, Jr., William "Billy" Case, Scott Berthelot, Tyler Case, Luke Latiolais and Nicholas "Bubba" Gary, Jr.

Honorary pallbearers will be Koby Berthelot and Nick Gary.
