Arnaudville - A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, December 6, 2021, at St. John Francis Regis Catholic Church in Arnaudville for Cynthia Robin Taylor, 73, who passed away on Saturday, December 4, 2021, at Opelousas General Hospital.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home in Arnaudville from 1:00 pm until 8:00 pm on Sunday, and continue on Monday at 8:00 am until 10:30 am.
A rosary will be prayed at 6:00 pm on Sunday.
Rev. Brian Taylor will officiate at the Funeral Mass. Interment will follow at St. John Francis Regis Cemetery in Arnaudville.
Cynthia was a devout Catholic and faithful parishioner of St. John Francis Regis Catholic Church, where she a was a member of the Ladies Alter Society and served as a Lector and Eucharistic Minister. She worked for the Town of Arnaudville for 36 years, retiring as the Town Clerk. She was also a member of the Louisiana Municipal Clerks Association.
Cynthia loved nothing more than time spent with family and friends. She cherished her daughters, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and simply adored her husband and love of her life. She loved music and dancing, and could always be found on the dance floor of any event. She enjoyed traveling with her husband and made many wonderful memories of their adventures.
Cynthia had the most inspiring, selfless devotion to the Lord and her husband, who were her strength throughout a lengthy health journey. She will be remembered most for her kindness, compassion, faith and grace, and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
She is survived by her husband of 54 years, John Ray Taylor; daughters, Delana Quebedeaux (Rickey) and Alida Alleman (Parker); grandchildren, Torey Quebedeaux (Savannah), Taylor Quebedeaux (Tim) and Marlowe Alleman; great-grandchildren, Brielle Semere, Taegan Riggs, Tihlan Riggs and John Reed Quebedeaux; and several step-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Paul M. Robin, Sr. and Alida Landry Robin; sisters, infant Barbara Robin and Deanna Hebert (Charles); and brother, Paul Robin, Jr.
Pallbearers will be Rickey Quebedeaux, Parker Alleman, Torey Quebedeaux, Chuck Hebert, Logan Duplechien and Dannah Blanchard.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Cynthia's name to Miles Perret Cancer Services at 2130 Kaliste Saloom Rd. #200 Lafayette, LA 70508 or at milesperret.org.
The family wishes to thank her extensive medical teams who have treated her for the last 14 years, especially, Dr. Bolin, Dr. Meza, Dr. Penneli, Dr. Minuet, Dr. Raza, Dr. Santiago, Dr. Frederick, Dr. Elliot, Gabe Robin, NP, the staff of Louisiana Hospice and Palliative Care and the staff of Cancer Center of Acadiana.
