Cynthia Thorner

Cecilia - Funeral services will be held at ;3 p.m., on Monday, October 18, 2010 , at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Cecilia, for Cynthia Ann Dugas Thorner, 55, who died on Thursday, October 14, 2010 at L.S.U. Medical Hospital in Bogalusa. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery in Cecilia. Cynthia was an avid hobbyist who enjoyed doing many different kinds of craft projects. She loved spending time working with children with disabilities, hoping to make their struggles in life a little easier to cope with. Laughter was always a means of expressing her love for everyone she had ever met in life. She will be sadly missed by her family and friends who knew and loved her. Survivors include her son, Jeremy F. Thorner of Pearl River ; her parents, Charles and Mildred Robin Dugas of Slidell; and two brothers, Carl J. Dugas and his wife, Carol, of Pearl River , and Briant J. Dugas of Slidell. She was preceded in death by a brother, Glenn Allen Dugas; her paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Charlie Dugas; and maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Pierre Robin. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home from 3 p.m. until 10 p.m. on Sunday and continue on Monday at 7 a .m. until 2:30 p.m. A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. on Sunday evening.
