Daisy Zeringue Serrett

Henderson - A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, December 27, 2021, at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church in Henderson for Daisy Zeringue Serrett, 92, who passed away on Friday, December 17, 2021, at Landmark of Acadiana Nursing Home.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home in Breaux Bridge from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm on Sunday, December 26, 2021, and continue on Monday at 8:00 am until 10:15 am.

A rosary will be prayed at 7:00 pm on Sunday by Deacon Ken Soignier.

Rev. Keith Landry will officiate the funeral mass.

Interment will follow at St. Michael the Archangel Cemetery in Henderson.

Daisy was born January 15, 1929 in Breaux Bridge. She was parishioner of Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church. Daisy enjoyed baking, cooking and spending time with her family. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her two sons, Dwight Serrett (Nancy) and Randall P. Serrett (Mary); daughter, Phyllis S. Theriot (Wilson); grandchildren, Troy Theriot (Bethany), Kyle Theriot, Michael Serrett (Caroline), Ashley Dubbelde (Casey), Felice Delahoussaye (Paul) and Elle Berkenmeier (Aaron); great grandchildren, Tracy Theriot, Cody Theriot, Peyton Theriot, Will Serrett, Ben Serrett, Lilian Berkenmeier, Paul Delahoussaye, Jr., Mary Delta Delahoussaye, Marie Louise Dubbelde, Maeve Elizabeth Dubbelde, Declan David Dubbelde, Macy Theriot and Gracie Theriot.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Jesse Serrett; parents, Numa and Eunice Latiolais Zeringue; infant son, John Serrett; great grandson, Kelly Drew Theriot; brothers, Allen and Lester Zeringue; and sisters, Mable Huval and Lyda Guidry.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Lourdes Hospice, 4540 Ambassador Caffery Pkwy, Ste. B230, Lafayette, LA 70508.
