Dallas Joseph Pourciaux

Henderson - A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1:30 pm on Monday, January 15, 2018, at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church in Henderson for Dallas Joseph Pourciaux, 83, who passed away on Saturday, January 13, 2018, at his residence. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home from 4:30 pm until 10:00 pm on Sunday, and continue on Monday at 7:00 am until 1:00 pm. A rosary will be prayed at 7:00 pm on Sunday. Rev. Garrett McIntyre will officiate at the Mass of Christian Burial. Scriptures will be read by Jamie Pourciaux and Lyle Guidry. Gift Bearers will be Kristie Guidry and Sandie Pino. Interment will follow at St. Michael the Archangel Cemetery in Henderson. He is survived by his loving spouse of 63 years, Rita Robertson Pourciaux; sons, Michael Pourciaux and wife Elizabeth Allemond of Southaven, MS, and Roddy Pourciaux and wife Gesette Dupuis of Henderson; brothers, Andres Pourciaux and wife Suzanne Robin of Breaux Bridge and Francis Pourciaux and wife Betty Theriot of Youngsville; sister, Mabel P. Brasseaux and husband Donnie of Henderson; grandsons, Jamie Pourciaux and wife Jennifer of Hernando, MS, Robby P. Owens and life partner Brian of Smithville, TX, and Rylan Pourciaux of Henderson; granddaughters, Kristie P Guidry and husband Lyle of Cecilia, Sandie P. Pino of Hernando, MS, Chelsie Nero of Henderson, and Courtney LeBlanc and husband Nick of Breaux Bridge; and 9 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father, Freddie Pourciaux and his mother, Emerthe Dupuis Pourciaux. Pallbearers will be Michael Pourciaux, Jamie Pourciaux, Donnie Brasseaux, Rylan Pourciaux, Roddy Pourciaux, Robby Pourciaux Owens, and Brian Pourciaux Owens. The family would like to express their gratitude to Dr. Warren Degeyter, Nick Schexnayder and staff of Concepts of Care, Sarah Simpson w/ Heart of Hospice and his special caregiver, Ethel Majors, also an extra thanks to these ladies for their help as well, Barbara Lasseigne, Jackie Patterson and Meka Meche.
