Breaux Bridge - A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 am on Friday, May 18, 2018, at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Breaux Bridge for Dalton Calais, 72, who passed away on Tuesday, May 15, 2018, at St. Martin Hospital. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home from 7:00 am until 10:00 am on Friday. A rosary will be prayed at 8:00 am on Friday. Rev. Joseph Campion will officiate at the Funeral Mass. Readers will be Shawonnia Solomon and Cassandra Calais Roberts. Gift bearers will be Pleasure Calais and Devincia Caddy. Interment will follow at St. Francis of Assisi Cemetery in Breaux Bridge. He is survived by his sons, Jimmy Calais and Anthony Calais; daughters, Terry Lynn Davis and husband Gerald, Lisa Calais, and Katina Calais; brothers, Clifton Calais, Nelton Calais and wife Elizabeth, Alvin Calais, Ernest Calais, and William Bossier; sisters, Armance Calais, Yola Hamilton and husband Percy, and Mayola Calais; and six grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Genevieve Babineaux Calais; his parents, Dennis and Amydel "Mai-naus" Bossier Calais; a son, Dennis Calais; a grandchild, Tyrese Davis; and his brother, Felton Calais. Pallbearers will be Jimmy Calais, Anthony Calais, Elvis Hamiltion, Ryan Calais, Kenneth Roberts Jr., and Gerald Davis Jr. Honorary pallbearers will be Clifton Calais, Nelton Calais, Alvin Calais, and Ernest Calais.
