Breaux Bridge - Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., on Saturday January, 30, 2010, at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Breaux Bridge, for Dalton James Hypolite, 57, who passed away on Friday, January 22, 2010 at University Medical Center in Lafayette.
Interment will follow at St. Francis of Assisi Cemetery in Breaux Bridge.
Fr. James Fallon, Pastor of St. Francis of Assisi Church, will conduct the services. Scriptures will be read by Ruby Celestine and Betty John.
Dalton enjoyed singing, dancing, listening to music and barbecuing with his family and friends.
Survivors include his brothers, Melvin Hypolite of Lafayette and Clarence Hypolite, Sr. of Breaux Bridge; his sisters, Alma Alexander (Joseph M.), Mary Henry, Rita Demouchet (Wilton, Sr.), Deborah Batiste (Bobby), Deidra Hypolite all of Breaux Bridge, Delores Joseph (Shelton, Sr.) of Cecilia and Deena Bernard (Anthony) of Parks, a host of nieces and nephews, many relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Harry and Elsie Potier Hypolite; his brothers, David and Harold Hypolite; his sister, Madonna Hypolite Demouchet; his brother-in-law, Vincent Demouchet; his niece, Nicole Demouchet, his nephews, Dwyne Demouchet and Clarence Hypolite, Jr. and a great nephew, Wylan Batiste.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 6:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. A rosary will be recited at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday.
Pellerin Funeral Home of Breaux Bridge is in charge of arrangements.
