Leonville - Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Friday, August 17, 2007, at St. Leo the Great Catholic Church in Leonville, for Daniel Joseph Guidroz, Jr., 25, who died on Tuesday, August 14, 2007 at his residence in Arnaudville. Interment will follow at St. Leo the Great Cemetery in Leonville. The Rev. Fr. Ken Domingue, will conduct the services. Readers will be Wanda Martin and Jessica Aymond. Gift bearers will be Dolores Melancon and Cori Hebert. Survivors include his father and step mother, Daniel Guidroz, Sr. and April, of Arnaudville; his mother and step father, Cathy and David Melancon, of Leonville; his girlfriend Kaitlyn Laneaux, and their unborn child, of Arnaudville; one brother, Brock Arnaud, of Arnaudville; five sisters, Ashley Guidroz, Chanell Melancon, and Jackie Melancon, all of Leonville, and Miranda and Myicko Arnaud, both of Arnaudville; his maternal grandparents, Janet and Nolan Bernard, of Arnaudville; his paternal grandmother, Verna Mae Guidroz, of Arnaudville; his nephew, Kade Soileau, of Leonville; and his godchild, Kohl Higginbothan, of Leonville. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Jessie Guidroz; his uncle, Gerald Guidroz; and his step mother, Melanie Guidroz. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home from 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, and continue until time of service on Friday. A rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday evening. Pallbearers will be Brock Arnaud, Brian Higginbothan, Brady Guidroz, Bernell Bernard, Leonard Guidroz, Randy Marks, and Matt Soileau. Honorary pallbearer will be Dane Darby. Pellerin Funeral Home of Arnaudville is in charge of arrangements.
