Daniel J. Guidroz, Sr.

Leonville - A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1:00 pm on Saturday, May 5, 2018, at St. Leo the Great Catholic Church in Leonville for Daniel Joseph Guidroz, Sr. 57, who passed away on Thursday, May 3, 2018, at Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center. The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 5:00 pm until 10:00 pm on Friday and continue on Saturday at 8:00 am until 12:15 pm, at Pellerin Funeral Home in Arnaudville. A rosary will be prayed at 7:00 pm on Friday. Rev. Kenneth Domingue will officiate at the Funeral Mass. Scriptures will be read by Jessica Aymond and Peggy Guidroz. Gift Bearers will be Tiffany Saultz and Rose Attuso. Interment will follow at St. Leo the Great Cemetery in Leonville. Daniel was a musician who played bass guitar. He loved music and it was his life; no matter where he was playing, he always obliged his listeners with a special request song. In addition to his being a skilled musician, Daniel was also an excellent mechanic. He cherished times spent with his grandkids - they were his world and his daughter was his #1. Daniel was one of the most selfless people you would ever meet. He would give anything to anyone even though it meant he was left with nothing. Daniel will be sadly missed by everyone who knew and loved him. He is survived by his loving daughter, Ashley Guidroz; step daughters, Maranda Arnaud and Myicko Arnaud; step son, Brock Arnaud; brothers, Dutile Guidroz and wife Peggy, Leonard Guidroz and wife Wanda, David Guidroz and wife Lisa, Terry Guidroz, and Patrick Guidroz; sister, Wanda and husband Howard Martin, Jr.; grandchildren, Kade Soileau, Ethan Soileau, Taegon Guidroz, Zaine Arnaud, Adalynn Arnaud, Erica Stein, Erin Stein, Raelynn Arnaud, Drelon Richardson, and Dailon Arnaud; godchild, Braddy Guidroz and spouse Laci; godmother, Laurie Deville; nieces, Heather Pitarro, Jessica Aymond, Crystal Attuso, Tiffany Saultz, Kelly Michon, and Courtney Cowart; and nephew, Michael Guidroz. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jessie and Verna Mae Taylor Guidroz; son, Daniel Guidroz, Jr.; brother, Gerald Guidroz; godfather, Herman "Cowboy" Guidroz; second wife, Melanie Guidroz; son-in-law, Matthew Soileau; maternal grandparents, Adelma and Octave Taylor; and paternal grandparents, Dutile and Alzire Guidroz. Pallbearers will be Braddy Guidroz, Brock Arnaud, Dutile Guidroz, Leonard Guidroz, Kyte Aymond, and David Guidroz.
