New Iberia - A Mass of Christian Burial will be held celebrated at 12:00 pm, on Saturday, July 18, 2015, at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church in New Iberia, for Daniel Simon Hebert, 81, who passed away on Wednesday, July 15, 2015, in New Iberia.
Entombment will follow in the Holy Family Cemetery.
Rev. Steve LeBlanc will be the Celebrant. The readings will be proclaimed by Alaina Hebert. Gift Bearers include Blaire Ardoin and Brandi Romero.
A gathering of family and friends will be Friday from 4:30 PM until 9:00 PM at Pellerin Funeral Home in New Iberia. A rosary will be prayed at 7:00 PM Friday. Visitation will continue on Saturday from 8:00 AM until 11:30 AM.
A native and lifelong resident of Iberia Parish, Mr. Hebert was born on December 13, 1933 to Dennis and Laurence Robicheaux Hebert. He proudly served our country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War, and retired from Bell South after 33 years. Mr. Hebert hobbies included woodworking, hunting, fishing, traveling, sports, and being outdoors. He also enjoyed spending time with his family, and was an usher at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church.
Survivors include his wife, Barbara LeBlanc Hebert of New Iberia; children, Craig G. Hebert and wife Lisa of New Iberia, Wendell P. Hebert and wife Michelle of New Iberia, Danette Ardoin and husband Jason of New Iberia; grandchildren, Justin Hebert of New Iberia, Mason Hebert of New Iberia, Alaina Hebert of New Iberia, Brandi Romero and spouse Saul of New Iberia, Blaire Ardoin and spouse fiance' Thomas Lemaire of New Iberia; great grandchildren, Caiden Romero, Cortland Romero, and Addison Ardoin.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Calvin Hebert, Alvin Hebert, Webster Hebert, Louis Hebert; sisters, Mildred Leleux, Lorraine Babineaux, Theresa Andre, and Laurence Migues.
Pallbearers will be Craig Hebert, Wendell Hebert, Mason Hebert, Jason Ardoin, Danny Babineaux, and Teddy Leleux.
Honorary pallbearers include Justin Hebert, Mark Rouly, Ron Rouly, Otis Rouly, and Keith Melancon.
