Coteau Holmes - Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, June 21, 2006, at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church in Coteau Holmes for Daniel James LeBlanc, 54, who died Sunday, June 18, 2006 at his residence.
Interment will be in St. Elizabeth Cemetery in Coteau Holmes.
Mr. LeBlanc was employed for twenty years as a welder at Douglas Marine Construction. He also worked as a cashier and fisherman at Seafood Station under the management of Kevin and Tammy Prados. Mr. LeBlanc was also a volunteer fireman with the Coteau Holmes Fire Department.
Survivors include his wife, Gloria Menard LeBlanc of St. Martinville; his step-on, Morris Champagne, Jr. and his spouse, Heather of Abbeville; his step-daughter, Angela Cormier and her fianc, Randall Wiltz of St. Martinville; his brothers, Dieu Donne LeBlanc and his wife, Janet of Catahoula and Gerald Joseph LeBlanc and his companion, Tommy of New Iberia; his sisters, Donna Dieu Bonin of St. Martinville, Mary Rose Dominque of Plaucheville, Betty Joyce LeBlanc and her fianc, George Aucoin of Bayou Vista, Shirley Ann Billiot and her husband, Charlie of Houma, and Louise Mary Blanchard and her husband, Bert of Parks; four grandchildren, Lexie and Willie Chataignier and Keerley and Kainnon Champagne; and 42 nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Aristille and Artemise Boudreaux LeBlanc; his brothers, Steven R. LeBlanc and Don Juan LeBlanc, Sr.; his sister, Vinus LeBlanc and his grandchild, Kaleb Anthony Wiltz.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 9:00 a.m. ~ 10:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 20, 2006 and continue at 8:00 am Wednesday until time of service.
A rosary will be recited at 7:00 pm on Tuesday.
Pallbearers will be Dieu Donne LeBlanc, Gerald LeBlanc, Randall Wiltz, Donald Menard, Richard LeBlanc and Roy Poirier.
Honorary pallbearer will be Leonard LeBlanc.
Pellerin Funeral Home of St. Martinville is in charge of arrangements.
