New Iberia – A Celebration of Life Service will be held at Cornerstone Cowboy Church, 400 N. Lewis St., New Iberia, LA 70560, at 2:00 PM on Saturday, November 3, 2018 for Danny Jude Viator II, 31, who passed away on Saturday, October 27, 2018 at Lafayette General Medical Center in Lafayette, LA. Pastor Andy Starks will be the Officiant.
A gathering of family and friends will be at the church from 12:00 pm until 2:00 pm on Saturday. Interment will be at a later date.
Danny was born to Danny Jude Viator and Carol Barrilleaux Viator on December 1, 1986, and was a lifelong resident of New Iberia. He was employed by Stuller Settings of Lafayette, LA where he worked as a respected IT in the computer department for over 10 years. Danny had a natural born talent and passion for computers of which he educated himself at a young age. He made himself available to many who needed the service of a professional to successfully resolve computer problems. Danny also enjoyed music, the guitar, computer games such as Warcraft, building and modifying computers, debating politics (Danny KNEW his facts), handguns and target shooting. But Danny was first a dedicated Family Man who loved his family and devoted his time away from work to them.
Danny is survived by his wife, Simoine Duhon Viator; daughter, Addyson Rae Viator; son, Riley Jude Viator; his mother, Carol Barrilleaux Greer; stepfather, Leonard “Len” Greer; his father Danny Jude Viator; stepmother, Krista Viator; brother Jake Viator; stepsister Olivia “Liv” Greer; father-in-law Burton “Buddy” Duhon; mother-in-law, Patrice Duhon; sisters-in-law, Kimberly Duhon and Johanna and husband Chad Breaux; paternal grandparents, Jim and Vernella Viator; paternal great-grandmother, Lou Viator; paternal step-grandmother, Geraldine “Dean” Greer; paternal uncles, Jimmy and wife Tammy Viator, and Bobby and wife Shawn Viator; maternal uncles, Corney and wife Estelle Barrilleaux, Dalton and wife Jennifer Barrilleaux, and Percy and wife Patsy Barrilleaux; maternal aunt and Godmother, Sandra and husband David Theriot, whom Danny loved dearly. Danny also leaves behind numerous cousins and their children, as well as cousin “raised as a brother,” Ty Shaw; and best friends and co-workers, Derrick Faverino and Mark Guilbeau.
Danny was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Sandy and Velva Barrilleaux; paternal great grandfather, Slim Viator; paternal great grandparents, Annery and Lula Meyers; paternal step grandfather Sonny Greer; and a sweet cousin, Jennifer Theriot.
The family would like to express many thanks to the Iberia Parish First Responders, and the staff at Lafayette General Medical Center’s Emergency and ICU Departments for the excellent care Danny was given as a Trauma Patient after a serious car wreck. A special mention, and in lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to Louisiana Organ Procurement Agency (LOPA) for the wonderful work in harvesting viable organs for the benefit of those in need to continue life. The family asks that everyone who has not yet secured their status of “Organ Donor” seriously consider doing so.
