New Iberia - A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 2:00 pm on Monday, April 30, 2018, at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in New Iberia for Darlene Rouly Robicheaux , 86, who passed away on Friday, April 27, 2018, in New Iberia.
Interment will follow in the Holy Family Cemetery.
Rev. Bill Melancon will be the Celebrant.
A gathering of family and friends will be Sunday from 2:30 pm until 9:00 pm at Pellerin Funeral Home. A rosary, led by the Mens Rosary Group, will be prayed at 6:30 pm Sunday. Visitation will continue on Monday from 8:00 am until 1:15 pm.
A native and lifelong resident of New Iberia, Ms. Darlene was born on November 26, 1931 to the late Otto Joseph Rouly and Noelie Rouly Domingue. She was a former Cub Scout Leader and had worked at several places including Wal Mart. Ms. Darlene enjoyed dancing, cooking, reading, and sewing.
Survivors include her daughters, Sylvia Perez and husband Robert of Lafayette, Maria Romero and companion Juan of New Iberia, Paulette Delahoussaye and husband Michael of New Iberia; sons, Otto "Tetoe" Bonin and wife Christi of Jeanerette, Orien Bonin and wife Donita "Putts" of Youngsville, Johnny Bonin and wife Patricia of St. Martinville; 16 grandchildren; and 27 great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Mona Dore, husband, Richard U. Bonin, Sr., sisters, Earline Louviere and Joy Rita Lancon, son, Richard Bonin, Jr., great grandson, Eyan Hernandez, grandson, Jeremiah Delahoussaye, and godchild, Jada Lancon.
Pallbearers will be Otto "Tetoe" Bonin, Johnny Bonin, Juan Reyes, Robert Perez, Mike Delahoussaye, Orien Bonin.
