New Iberia - Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, May 2, 2017, at Pellerin Funeral Home in New Iberia for Daron Paul Vaughn, 91, who passed away on Saturday, April 29, 2017, in New Iberia.
Entombment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.
Rev. Ed Degeyter will officiate.
A gathering of family and friends will be Tuesday from 10:30 AM until 2:00 PM at Pellerin Funeral Home.
A native of Loreauville, Mr. Vaughn was born on October 21, 1925 to the late Paul and Stella Neuville Vaughn, and he proudly served our country in the U.S. Army 63rd Infantry, during World War II. He was in combat in France and Germany, and received the Bronze Star Medal. Mr. Vaughn worked 28 years for Bovaird Supply Company and 12 years for Bethlehem Supply. He enjoyed fresh water fishing and spending time with his family..
Survivors include his sons, Kenneth Vaughn of New Iberia, Keith Vaughn of New Iberia; daughter, Deborah Breaux of Houma; 5 grandchildren; and 12 great grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 63 years, Dorothy Comeaux Vaughn, and a sister, Rudy Janssens.
Pallbearers will be Derrick Prentice, Duncan Prentice, Joseph Giordano, Michael Janssens, Kenneth Vaughn, and Jarod Viator.
