Darren Waguespack

New Iberia – Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm, on Wednesday, December 18, 2024, at Pellerin Funeral Home, for Darren Gerald Waguespack, 62, who passed away on Wednesday, December 11, 2024.

Interment will follow in the Holy Family Cemetery. 

Rev. Keith Landry will officiate. 

Visitation will be Wednesday, from 9:00 am until 1:00 pm, at Pellerin Funeral Home. A rosary, led by the Men’s Rosary Group, will be prayed at 11:00 am on Wednesday. 

A native and lifelong area resident, Darren was born in New Iberia, on September 12, 1962, and was a 1980 graduate of Delcambre High School. He worked in the oilfield most of his life, and was currently the HSE Coordinator, at Reagan Power and Compression. An avid fan of the Kansas City Chiefs, Darren enjoyed fishing, playing pool, and all sports. 

Survivors include his wife Karin Mouton Waguespack; children, Trace Waguespack (Carlie), Logan Waguespack (Cortni), Jennifer Gaspard (Christopher), and Brody LeBlanc (Kellie); parents, Dalton Gerald Waguespack and Mary Trahan Waguespack; sisters, Garneth Lannie (Dale) and Donna Neuville (Tony); grandchildren, Nixon LeBlanc, Manning LeBlanc, Cohen Waguespack, Jolie Waguespack, Marlow Waguespack, Banks Waguespack, Penelope Waguespack, Vivian Waguespack, Natalie Waguespack, Alyssa Pommier, Briggs Gaspard, and one due to arrive in April; godchildren, Haley Duckworth and Layne Waguespack. 

Pallbearers will be Trace Waguespack, Logan Waguespack, Brody LeBlanc, Chris Gaspard, Hunter Neuville, and Dale Lannie.
