Darryl Bonin

New Iberia - A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 2:00 PM Monday, August 8, 2011 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in New Iberia for Darryl J. Bonin, 45, who died Thursday, August 4, 2011 in New Iberia . Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Rev. Jude Thierry will be the Celebrant. Billie Jo Bonin will proclaim the readings, and gift bearers include Darryls godchildren, Keira Bellard and Kelci Bonin. Born on January 17, 1966 , Darryl was an electrician, having worked for E.P. Breaux Electrical Contractors, Deep Water Specialists, and most recently Doerles Food Service. An avid collector of eagle statues and Zippo lighters, he enjoyed music, watching movies, playing chess, video games, dancing, and most of all spending time with his family, especially his nieces and nephews. Survivors include his mother, Jeanette Duhon Bonin of Coteau; brother, Dwayne Bonin and wife Billie Jo of Coteau; sisters, Louise Bonin of New Iberia, Wanda Bonin Rose and husband Darcy, of Tulsa, OK, Sandi East and husband John of New Iberia, Donna Duran, and husband Bobby Dwyer of Coteau; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Ray Allen Bonin. Pallbearers will be Mike Delahoussaye, Buddy Delahoussaye, Craig Duhon, Elby Duhon, Bobby Whatley, and Hank Masciarelli. A gathering of family and friends will be Sunday from 11:00 AM until 9:00 PM at Pellerin Funeral Home, 502 Jefferson Terrace Blvd , in New Iberia . A rosary will be prayed at 6:00 PM Sunday.
