Dary Broussard

Cecilia - A Mass of Christian Burial will be held for Dary Broussard, age 86, at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Cecilia, Louisiana at 11 a.m., Saturday, March 29, 2008. ?Dad died on Good Friday, March 21, 2008 at his residence in Cecilia surrounded by his loving family. ?The Rev. Aaron Melancon will be the celebrant of the Mass and interment will be at the church cemetery. Dad was a sharecropper, farmer, truck driver, WWII Veteran and a heavy equipment operator for the highway department. ?His most important job was that of a devoted family man and an excellent provider for his family. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of sixty-five years, Maxine Potier Broussard of Cecilia, LA. ?Four sons: ?Leroy (Joyce) of Lake Charles, Russell (Juanita), Ronald (Sandra) and Michael (Chenita) Broussard, all of Cecilia, LA; One daughter-in-law, Mrs. Johnny (Carol) Broussard of Cecilia, LA; Ten grandchildren: ?Otis, Adam, Jonathan, Anthony, Jamal, Elzia, Hannah, Max, Joey and Dwaine; Twelve great grandchildren: ?Haleem, Malika, Elijah, Sherie, Jalicia, Kaurie, Caylin, Kallie, Cole, Gabriel, Dorien and Alexx. ?Three sisters, Evelyn Jolivette and Edna Enard, both of Lafayette, LA, Ida Abrams of Breaux Bridge, LA, five brothers, Dan, Dorsey and Robert Broussard, all of Houston, TX., Dorville Broussard, Jr., of Breaux Bridge, LA., and James Broussard of Duson, LA. ?Dad is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, caring neighbors and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Dorville and Fabiola Jolivette Broussard, Sr., his son, James Johnny Broussard, his sister Aurline Jean Batiste, and three brothers, Preston, Dalton and Daltez Broussard. Pallbearers are grandsons Otis, Adam, Jonathan, Anthony, Dorien, Jamal, and Max Broussard. Honorary pallbearers are brothers, Dan, Dorsey, Dorville, Robert, and James Broussard and brother in-laws Raymond, Ramsey, George and Patrick Potier. Visitation will be held Saturday, March 29, 2008, at Pellerin Funeral Home in Cecilia, Louisiana from 7 a.m. until time of services with a rosary to be recited at 8:30 a.m. Pellerin Funeral Home of Cecilia is in charge of arrangements.
