Breaux Bridge - A Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, August 21, 2021, at Pellerin Funeral Home in Breaux Bridge for Dashawn "Big Top" Batiste, 22, who passed away on Sunday, August 8, 2021.The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home from 7:00 am until the time of service on Saturday. Rev. Craig Gregory will officiate at the funeral service. Interment will follow at St. Bernard Cemetery No. 2 in Breaux Bridge. He is survived by his mother, Latrisha Crosby (Darius); father, Ignatius Joseph; girlfriend, Dalana Dalcourt and baby Batiste on the way; brothers, Wilbert Lewis, III, Cortell Faulk, Kobe Joseph and Nasain Sam; sisters, Precious Batiste, La'Vallie Batiste, Desha Batiste, Iriel Joseph, Payton Lewis, Ireland Joseph and Phoenix Joseph; aunts, Claysha Brouchet Smith (Leonard), Cassandra Brouchet and Niyi Green; uncles, Joseph Alexander, Jr. (Falyn) and Johnathon Bob; grandparents, Hazel and Herbert Joseph; grandfather, Joseph Alexander, Sr.; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Nola Batiste; great-grandparents, Oscar and Augustine Mitchell, Cassie and Alberta Alexander, Sr. and Antoine Paul and Yola Green; and stepfather, Michael Batiste.
