David Stewart Lawrence Dennis

St. Martinville - A Memorial Service will be held at a later date at St. Michael Mausoleum in St. Martinville for Mr. David Stewart Lawrence Dennis, 51, who passed away on Tuesday, March 31st, 2020 in Lafayette, Louisiana. A resident of Lafayette, Louisiana his entire life, David was a loving brother, son, uncle, and grandson. David graduated from Lafayette High School in 1988 and attended USL, where he was a member of Kappa Sigma Fraternity. He was employed as a Petroleum Landman for many years at Angelle & Donahue. He enjoyed spending his free time working in his garden, a hobby he grew to love because of his Grandma; and building furniture, a hobby he learned and enjoyed doing with his grandfather, “Pop”. He adored his nieces and nephews and will always be remembered as their Uncle Dave. Survivors include his twin sisters, Anne Dennis Mouton and her husband, Stephan Mouton, and Mary Dennis Miller; his nieces, Claire Elizabeth Miller and Emma Kathryn Mouton; and his twin nephews, Andrew Macy Mouton and Parker Stephen Mouton. He was preceded in death by his father, Macy Stewart Dennis and his mother, Elaine Melancon Dennis; his maternal grandparents, Lawrence Paul Melancon and Wilma Lee Melancon; and his paternal grandparents, Howell Dennis Sr. and Mary Stewart Dennis. Honorary Pallbearers will be Howell Dennis III, Stephan Mouton, Jim Piccione, Paul Piccione, Andrew Mouton, Parker Mouton, and James Burnham.
