New Iberia - Funeral Services will be at 10:00 AM, Wednesday, May 2, 2007, at Pellerin Funeral Home Chapel, in New Iberia for David ""Dutch"" Miles Gosnell, Jr, 90, who died Friday, April 27, 2007 at his residence.
Interment will follow in Rosehill Cemetery, in New Iberia.
Born on July 12, 1916, in Lander, Wyoming, he is the son of David Miles Gosnell, Sr. and Rosalia Mulqueen Gosnell. A longtime resident of New Iberia, Mr. Gosnell was president of ""Dutch"" Gosnell Manufacturing and Supply, Inc. He was a member of the National Federation of Independent Businesses and the National Rifle Association. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and his work.
Survivors include his sons, Allen Gosnell and wife Lynette of New Iberia, David Miles Gosnell, III and wife Susan of Broussard, Chester Gosnell and wife Myra of Lafayette, Henry Gosnell and wife Peggy of Lewiston, Idaho; daughters, Mary Gosnell Druhot and husband Stephen of Leesburg, Virginia, Cheryl Gosnell Delcambre and husband Wayne of Broussard; sister, Mabel Carpenter of Lees Summit, Missouri; 13 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Roy, Harold, Alfred, and William Gosnell.
A gathering of family and friends will be Tuesday, from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Pellerin Funeral Home, 502 Jefferson Terrace Blvd, in New Iberia. Visitation will continue Wednesday, from 8:00 AM until time of service.
Pallbearers include Allen Gosnell, David Miles Gosnell, III, Chester Gosnell, Henry Gosnell, Mary Gosnell Druhot, and Mark Gosnell.
Honorary pallbearers will be Carroll ""Sam"" Navarre, Robert T. Andre, and Ray Himel.
