David J. Guidry, a devoted husband, father, brother, godfather, and community servant, was born on March 18, 1956, in New Iberia, and was a beacon of kindness and faith throughout his life.

A proud Quality Assurance Manager in the oilfield, David was known not only for his professional accomplishments but also for his unwavering commitment to his community and church. As a longtime faithful member of Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church, he dedicated countless hours to serve as a Eucharistic Minister and altar server. His involvement extended to the Parish Council, where he served with integrity for six years, and fulfilled the role of trustee for three years. His faith was the cornerstone of his life, guiding him in all he did.

Beyond his spiritual contributions, David had a remarkable talent for photography. His skilled eye for capturing moments brought joy to many, particularly at Catholic High School, where he shared his passion for sports photography. His images not only documented victories on the field but also celebrated the camaraderie and spirit of young athletes.

David cherished the outdoors, finding solace and joy in fishing and hunting. These activities were not merely hobbies; they were opportunities for him to connect with nature and create lasting memories with friends and family. Above all else, David treasured the moments spent with his loved ones. His family was his greatest pride, and his legacy lives on through the bonds he nurtured and the lessons he imparted.

Guidry; brother, Brent Guidry (Dawn Dooley Guidry); sisters, Bonnie Guidry McNeese (Wayne McNeese, Sr.) and Fran Guidry Segura (Robert Segura); brother-in-law, Bob Berry; godchildren, Dillan Michael Guidry (Michelle) and Michelle Berry Ronsonet (Tim); mother-in-law, Shirley Vincent Huval; beloved dog, Cooper; and numerous nieces and nephews that David was so proud of.
