Parks - Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, June 3, 2009 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Parks, for David Bruce Mouton, 52, who passed away on Monday, June 1, 2009 at Louisiana State University Medical Center in New Orleans.
Interment will follow at St. Bernard Cemetery No. 2 in Breaux Bridge.
David grew up in New Orleans and later moved to Lafayette then Parks. He was the owner of AI Pawn Shop in Houma, LA. An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed hunting and fishing. David will long be remembered for his generosity, kindness, and love for people, especially his Cajun culture.
Survivors include his mother, Inez S. Mouton, of Parks; two brothers, Ramon J. Mouton and his wife, Delilah, and Mark E. Mouton, all of Parks; two sisters, Elizabeth A. Gardner and her husband, Samuel L., of Youngsville, and Marie M. Kuhn and her husband, Sidney, of Pensacola, FL; his nieces and nephews, Sidney Kuhn, Debbie Dunkerley, Jolie Gardner, Lizzie Gardner, Samuel Gardner, Charlene Kay, Michael Mouton, Michelle Mouton, Amanda Mouton, and Jennifer Mouton; and his great nieces and nephews, Cooper and Keegan Gerard, and Sophie Kay and Davis Kay.
He was preceded in death by his father, Ramon Amilcar Mouton, M.D.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home from 1 p.m. until 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
