New Iberia - Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, February 1, 2007, at St. Peter Catholic Church in New Iberia for David Terrell Pharr, 41, who died Monday, January 29, 2007 in Franklin.
Interment will follow at Holy Family Cemetery in New Iberia.
David was a graduate of Catholic High in New Iberia, U.L. of Lafayette and Louisiana Tech. He was employed as a comptroller at Columbian Chemicals in Centerville and was a past member of the New Iberia Optimist Club. He enjoyed fishing and hunting with his friends and spending time with his family.
Survivors include his wife, Amy Lord Pharr; his daughters, Genee Broussard and Rachel Pharr; his parents, G.O. Pete and Pat Terrell Pharr, all of New Iberia; his brothers, Steven Pharr and his wife, Lisa of Alexandria and Mark G. Pharr and his wife, Jodie of New Iberia; his sister, Kathy Maraist and her husband, David of Mandeville; and his grandson, Cullen Sonnier.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, E.P. and Mildred Romero Terrell; and his paternal grandparents, Mark R. Pharr, Sr. and Odette Berges.
A gathering of family and friends will be held at Pellerin Funeral Home, 502 Jefferson Terrace Blvd., New Iberia, from 3:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Wednesday and continue at 10:00 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. on Thursday.
A rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday evening.
Honored to serve as pallbearers are, Steven Pharr, Mark G. Pharr, William Quinlan, Andre St. Upery, Warren Shepherd, and Craig Drago.
Honorary pallbearers will be David Maraist, Tim Terrell, and Mark R. Pharr, III.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Catholic High Endowment Fund, 1301 DeLaSalle Drive, New Iberia, LA 70560.
