Cecilia - A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 am on Tuesday, May 1, 2018, at St. Joseph Catholic Church for Dawson James LeBlanc, who passed away on Tuesday, April 24, 2018. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home from 4:00 pm until 9:00 pm on Monday and continue on Tuesday at 7:00 am until 10:30 am. A rosary will be prayed at 7:00 pm on Monday. Rev. Neil Pettit will officiate at the Funeral Mass. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery in Cecilia. Jeremiah 1:5 Dawson loved kicking his daddy in the back when we were sleeping. He loved snuggling up on his momma in the womb and sharing her heartbeat. But most of all, he loves being in Heaven with our Holy Family more than anything. He is the purest form of an angel there is, and he is honored to be a child of God. ... and to think, the first thing he saw when his little eyes opened was the face of Jesus. He is survived by his loving parents, Trent and Collette LeBlanc; grandparents, Jonas "Papit" and Nicole "Mamit" Angelle, and Sheree "G-Ree" Blanchard; great grandparents, Simon and Jo Ann Angelle, Ronnie and Ruby Guidry, and Terry and Betty LeBlanc; uncle, Jonas "JC" Angelle, Jr.; godmother, Abby Angelle; and godfather, Brennan Roberts. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Shelby LeBlanc; and great grandparents, Sharon and Robert Blanchard, and Margie LeBlanc. Pallbearers will be Garth Frederick and Zachary Latiolais.
