Breaux Bridge - Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, March 31, 2007, at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Breaux Bridge for Debra Mamou, 32, who died Monday, March 26, 2007 in Lafayette.
Interment will follow at St. Francis of Assisi Cemetery in Breaux Bridge.
Debra enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. ?She loved to travel and experienced many parts of our country. ?Debra attended college in Italy, where she earned her associate's degree in business.
Survivors include her husband, Devon Tate of Italy; her son, Damion Morgan of Lafayette; her father, Louis Mamou of Breaux Bridge; her mother and stepfather, Genevia and Leander J. Fontenette, of St. Martinville; her sister, Victoria Mamou of Breaux Bridge; her maternal grandmother, Daisy Sylvester of Breaux Bridge; her step brother, Leander Gerard of St. Martinville; and her step sisters, Erica Fontenette of Breaux Bridge and Chastity Polk of Loreauville.
She was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Harry Sylvester; her paternal grandparents, Olivia and Louis Mamou, Sr.; and several aunts and uncles.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 4:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. on Friday and continue at 7:00 a.m. on Saturday until time of service.
A rosary will be recited at 6:00 p.m. on Friday evening.
Pallbearers will be, Don Jayamaha, Jr., Brian Sampy, Lawrence Mamou, Michael Mamou, Kenneth Lewis, and Nelson Sylvester.
Honorary pallbearers will be, Joe Sylvester, Clancy Mamou, Carol Sylvester, Austin Mamou, and Clarence Sylvester.
Pellerin Funeral Home of Breaux Bridge is in charge of arrangements.
