Breaux Bridge - A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 12:00 pm, Saturday, June 1, 2024 at St. Bernard Catholic Church for Dolores G. Belaire, 87, who passed away on Tuesday, May 28, 2024, at Ochsner St. Martin Hospital in Breaux Bridge.
A visitation will take place at the funeral home in Breaux Bridge on Saturday from 8:30 am until 11:30 am.
A Rosary will be prayed by Deacon Marcel "Butch" Hebert at 10:30 am on Saturday.
Rev. Garrett McIntyre will officiate at the Funeral Mass. Reader will be Victoria and Joshua Belaire. Gift bearers will be Amber Courville and Orianna Breaux.
Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery in Cecilia.
Dolores was born on December 7, 1936. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, and friend. Dolores was a compassionate and selfless woman who found joy in cooking, especially in baking her famous bread. Her warm and loving nature earned her the title of "Maw Maw" by all who knew her.
Dolores was a devout Catholic who had a profound love for the Lord, a faith that guided her every action. Her kindness and sweet demeanor touched the lives of all who crossed her path. She will be remembered for her unwavering devotion to her family and her ability to make everyone feel loved and cherished.
She is survived by her children, Steven G. Belaire, Michael J. Belaire Sr. (Robin), Ann M. Belaire, and Lanis J. Belaire Jr. (Nicole); 12 grandchildren, Michael Belaire Jr. (Scott), Mandy Smith (Ronnie), Amber Courville (Mark), Krystal Dore (Scot), Lacey Brown (Hayden), Nicole Breaux (Joe), Benjamin Berard (Brooke), Jacob Berard (Regi), Lanis C. Belaire, Aaron Belaire, Victoria Belaire and Joshua Belaire; 15 great grandchildren, Kylie Smith, Karlie Smith, Kinzlie Smith, Hannah Courville, Easton Dore, Adam Courville, Kolt Smith, Estelle Dore, Oliver Breaux, Olivia Breaux, Orianna Breaux, Owyn Breaux, Annie Berard, Elijah Berard, and Charlie Berard; and one sister, Anne Marie Hernandez (Earl).
She preceded in death by her husband, Lanis J. Belaire Sr.; parents, Andrew Gautreaux, Sr. and Mae Hebert Gautreaux; and siblings, Nola Domas and Andrew Gautreaux, Jr.
Pallbearers will be Steven Belaire, Michael Belaire, Sr., Lanis Belaire, Jr., Benjamin Berard, Jacob Berard, Christian Belaire, Aaron Belaire, and Oliver Breaux.
