Delta Malorin

Cecilia - A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 2:00 pm, on Tuesday, December 23, 2014, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Cecilia, for Delta Courville Malorin, 84, who passed away on Sunday, December 21, 2014. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm on Monday, and continue on Tuesday at 7:00 am until 1:45 pm. A rosary will be prayed at 7:00 pm on Monday. Rev. Michael Delcambre will officiate at the Funeral Mass. Scriptures will be read by Ashley Degeyter and Leah Maxell. Gift Bearers will be Harlan, Aaron, and Kevin Courville. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery in Cecilia. Mrs. Malorin enjoyed going bowling, listening to music, reading, writing poetry, painting swamp and magnolia scenes, and cooking. She loved designing and sewing clothing, it was a great passion of hers. Above all else, Delta loved her family unconditionally and enjoyed spending time with them. She is survived by her son, Randall Jude Malorin and wife, Vicky, of Copperas Cove, TX; three daughters, Lynette Malorin Andrews and husband, David, of Jackson, LA, Nelwyn Walker and husband, Mike, of Plano, TX, and Eva Huval and husband, Carlan, of Cypress Island, LA; her brother, Joe Courville and wife, Birdie, of Baker, LA; 13 grandchildren, Chris, Norman, Corey, Brandy, David, Michael, Ashley, Leah, Graham, Katelyn, Marianne, Paul, and Renee; and many great grandchildren and nieces and nephews, whom she loved. She is preceded in death by her husband, Elie Malorin, Jr.; her parents, Louis and Denise Latiolais Courville; three brothers, Will, Aswell, and Percy Courville; and two sisters, Yolande Breaux and Tessie Douet. Pallbearers will be Corey Smith, Norm Picou, David Andrews, Kenneth Melancon, Aaron Courville, and Danny Malorin. Honorary pallbearers will be Chris Smith, Carlan Huval, and Mike Walker.
