Delven J. Bourque, Jr.

St. Martinville - A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 pm on Friday, November 15, 2024 at Our Saviors Church in Broussard for Delven John Bourque, Jr., 53, who passed away on Wednesday, October 30, 2024 in Baton Rouge.

A visitation will take place at Our Saviors Church on Friday from 10:00 am until the time of service at 1:00 pm. 

Pastor Gabe Smith will officiate the Memorial Service. 

Delven had a passion for cooking, especially Saturday morning omelets and biscuits for his dog, Grizzly; he loved to sip coffee at all hours of the day and frequently requested Monopoly stickers. His presence was filled with smiles, laughter, and decisiveness, finding joy in life's simple pleasures. A hardworking family man, he was deeply committed to both his work and family. He loved fishing and cherished family vacations, particularly those that included stops at Buc-ee's. His time in the kitchen was a delight, earning him the titles of "roux master" and "meatball stew king." He often dreamed of retiring to sit on his new porch. Delven was dearly loved by friends and family, with many of his friends considering him family. He was an incredible husband, father, paw-paw, brother, parrain, and uncle, who will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. 

He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Tabitha Toucheck Bourque; daughters, Jasmine Rose-Marie Bourque and Bethany Paige Bourque; grandchildren, Rosalie Bourque, Kyrie Douglas and Maddan Chenier; sisters, Gail Quebedeaux, Sarah Boudreaux (Tommy), Darlene Haydel (Michael) and Elizabeth Thibodeaux; and brother, Jason Bourque.

He is preceded in death by his son, Delven Bourque, III; parents, Delven John Bourque, Sr. and Velma Dauphine Bourque; brother, Jonathan Bourque; and sister, Deborah Bourque.
