Breaux Bridge - Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m., on Tuesday, August 16, 2011, at St. Bernard Catholic Church in Breaux Bridge, for Dennis Daigle, 78, who passed away on Sunday, August 14, 2011at Lafayette General Medical Center . Fr. Paul LeFleur, will conduct the services. Interment will follow at St. Michael Cemetery in Henderson . Mr. Daigle enjoyed fishing and cooking for his family. Survivors include the love of his life, his wife of 55 years, Hazel Belaire Daigle of Breaux Bridge; his son, Richard Daigle of Breaux Bridge; his daughters, Julie Melancon and Jeanette East both of Breaux Bridge and Lisa Broussard and her husband, Roger of Parks; his brothers, Phillip Daigle and his wife, Margie of Duson, Raymond Daigle and his wife, Verna and Thomas Daigle all of Breaux Bridge, and Russell Daigle and his wife, Paulette of Cecilia; his sister, Theresa Boyer of Parks; his grandchildren, Harold Melancon, Jr. and his wife, Shantell, Luceann Robin and her husband, Jude, Ashley Mouton, Denise Fremin ;and her husband, Gerald, Julia Raby and her husband, Donavon and Allison Broussard; and his 11 great grandchildren whom he adored. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lucien and Agnes Johnson Daigle; grandson Justin Delahoussaye, great-grandson, Cole Melancon; son-in-law, Harold Melancon, Sr., 3 brothers, his twin, Daniel, Percy and Daris Daigle; 2 infant sisters and 1 infant brother; brothers-in-law, Clifford Boyer and Maurice Belaire, Jr.; sister-in-law, Barbara Repp Daigle. The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 2:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. on Monday and continue at 8:00 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. on Tuesday. A rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Pallbearers will be Richard Daigle, Donovan Raby, Donald Daigle, Jude Robin, Gerald Fremin, Jr. and Roger Broussard. Honorary pallbearers will be Daris Daigle, Harold Melancon III, Koy Fremin. Matthew Hebert, Blake Bijeaux, Jacob Fremin, and Ardem Robin. Pellerin Funeral Home of Breaux Bridge is in charge of arrangements.
